Game Economy

Where everything in the game comes from, where it goes, and the rules that keep it fair. Checked against the game as it is today.

In five lines

The short version

Everything can be played free

Buying things is optional. It makes progress faster.

Bronze is the everyday coin

Your kingdom produces it, and fights and chests add more.

TLRPG is the premium currency

You earn it by playing and by selling to other players. Euros buy TLRPG Lite, which spends the same way.

A fixed amount of TLRPG

No new TLRPG is ever created, and a share of every TLRPG spent is removed for good.

It is all part of the game

None of it is an investment. Please read the note →

What you pay with

The currencies

Bronze

The everyday coin. Your kingdom produces it, and fights and chests add more. It pays for kingdom and business upgrades, bigger stores, evolutions, pet levels, chests and decor. You can also buy it in the Bronze Shop.

TLRPG

The premium currency. Rewards pay it, and players earn it by selling to each other in the market. It pays for energy, chests, card packs, land and VIP.

TLRPG Lite

What euros buy, at the same rate as TLRPG, and a bonus in some events and prizes. It pays for energy, chests, card packs, land, VIP and Bronze, and for player listings whose seller accepts it, and it is used before your TLRPG. It can’t be sold back, withdrawn or sent to anyone, and it has no cash value. Our plan for WEB3 includes turning TLRPG Lite into TLRPG one day, only where the law allows; it is a plan, not a promise (see the Terms).

The TLRPG rate. Prices in the game are set in euros. When you pay with TLRPG, the game works out the amount at its current rate and shows it before you confirm. The game sets that rate itself, and it can change over time.

Energy. A free lord holds 40 energy and gets 1 back every 10 minutes. A fight or a forge costs 1. VIP raises the cap, and refills can be bought with TLRPG.

Where spent TLRPG goes

When TLRPG is spent, it is split three ways. The treasury is the game’s own stock of TLRPG. The rewards pool is set aside for player rewards. Removed means it is taken out of the game for good.

The market fee30% of each sale20%0%10%

When VIP is paid by card, the game also removes TLRPG worth 10% of the price from its treasury. TLRPG Lite bought with card or crypto and spent in the game is split 70% treasury, 15% rewards pool and 15% removed; TLRPG Lite won or received for free goes to the treasury.

A fixed amount. The game’s books hold exactly 100,000,000 TLRPG. No more can be created: the database refuses it, and an automatic check confirms the total several times an hour. TLRPG Lite is kept separately and is not part of that amount.

Player to player

The market

In the Shop, players sell to each other: world materials, utility cards (such as Energy and Growth Boost cards), pets and dragons. You can also place buy orders for materials. Everything is priced in TLRPG. The seller chooses whether a listing also accepts TLRPG Lite (Lite is used first). Buy orders need TLRPG.

Of what the buyer pays, the seller receives 70%. The other 30% is the market fee: 20% to the treasury and 10% removed for good. The part a buyer pays with TLRPG Lite reaches the seller as TLRPG Lite, the rest as TLRPG. After you buy TLRPG Lite by card, the same amount of your TLRPG can’t be sold back for 120 days.

A player can have up to 20 listings at a time. Gear and VIP cards can’t be sold, and a pet that is busy (on an adventure, working on land or evolving) can’t be listed.

Loot

Chests

Battle chests are won in fights and cost 1 energy to open. Their Drops tab in the game lists everything a battle chest can drop and the chance of each, before you open one.

The Armory chest forges a piece of gear at the level your Kingdom Tower sets, and a free one is ready every day. Other chests are bought with Bronze or TLRPG.

Optional

Buying things

Everything below is optional. Every price is shown in euros before you pay, and card payments go through Stripe.

VIP passes

A VIP pass lasts 31 days and renews every 31 days until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account, and the pass keeps running until the end of the time you paid for.

You can stop a VIP renewal at any time. If a payment for TLRPG Lite is refunded, the Lite is taken back. Spend only what you would happily spend on any other hobby.

For playing

Rewards

Fights, chests and your kingdom pay Bronze, XP and loot every day. On top of that, each week the kingdoms that meet that week’s rules (Kingdom Level 3 or higher, and enough play that week) share a TLRPG reward. Higher kingdom levels and more land get a bigger share.

Rewards are part of the game. Their size is not fixed, and any reward can change or end. The Rewards page in the game always shows what is running now.

Keeping it fair

Fair play

One account per person, no bots and no bug exploits. Manipulating the market, prices or rewards is against the rules. The game checks for multiple accounts and automation, and an account that breaks the rules can lose rewards or the ability to buy things, or be closed. The details are in the Terms of Service. You must be 18 or older to play.
